The Process for Getting Invisalign

Here are the five steps to a straighter smile:

1. The Consultation ¸— Dr. Abramowski will discuss your smile goals and perform a thorough exam, including x-rays and digital scans, to see if you’re a good candidate.

2. The Treatment Plan —  Our sophisticated intraoral scanner takes digital impressions of your teeth without messy paste. Dr. Abramowski uses this scan to plan your Invisalign treatment based on your unique needs. Your treatment plan determines how your teeth will move through treatment, the number of aligners needed, and an approximate timeline to fix crooked teeth.

3. Receive Your Aligners — You will receive several sets of clear aligners, each made from smooth, clear plastic molded to fit your teeth snugly.

4. Move to a New Set of Aligners — Every two weeks or so you will switch your current aligners for the next set as dictated by your treatment plan. With each new set, your teeth gradually move into their proper positions.

5. Wear Your Retainer — You have finished treatment when you wear your last set of aligners. However, you will need to wear a retainer to maintain the results and prevent your teeth from moving into their original positions.
