Why do my gums bleed when I floss?

Throughout the day, plaque and bacteria build up on and between your teeth. This buildup can cause irritation of your gums. Bleeding gums are not normal and can be a sign of gum disease. If you have any concerns about the health of your gums, make sure to schedule a time to talk with one of our hygienists so you can review all of your risk factors.
